The Town of Hingham Department of Veterans’ Services is proud to announce the Annual Recognition Ceremony of Seaman Herbert L. Foss, USN, will be held at the:

Members of the Foss Family have been invited along with Military, State, and Local Officials to recognize Seaman Foss’s service to our Nation. He is a recipient of the Medal of Honor, for actions taken during the Spanish-American War.
The ceremony will be moderated by Hingham’s Director of Veterans’ Services.
The Hingham Police & Fire Honor Guards will present the Colors, and members of the Old Colony Lodge, A.F. & A.M. will be on-hand to honor their fallen Brother. The Official Medal of Honor Citation will be read; along with a wreath laying, rifle volley, and the playing of Taps.
The event is open to the public and participation is highly recommended. Parking is available in the MBTA Lot. Please stop by to pay tribute to this National Hero on this, the 151 st Anniversary of his birth.
