Are you still looking for an enriching and exciting camp opportunity for your child? Summer Ink, an adventure-based writing camp, still has a few spots left in its 2019 program.

About the program:  Led by Hingham native, Rosamund Conroy, Summer Ink is an adventure and writing day camp based at Simmons University. Our program is for students entering grades 5-8 and our campers engage in exciting sports, arts, and adventure activities. They reflect on their experiences in daily journals and longer written pieces under the guidance of classroom teachers and senior counselors trained in the nationally-recognized WEX™ method. Summer Ink is for both eager and reluctant writers and our campers develop the skills they need for success in school and beyond – all while having fun!

"Summer Ink is totally unique-in the best way," says Conroy.  "We're always doing interesting things (fencing, museum visits, rock climbing!) so when it's time to write, our campers are excited to express themselves on paper. We do work on writing skills, but it's not school. It's a space where eager writers can spread their wings and where reluctant writers can gain confidence and start to enjoy writing. It's a very special program, and one that I'm honored to be a part of."
