The beloved Christmas in the Square celebration is organized by the Hingham Downtown Association (HDA) and it has been a Hingham holiday tradition for over forty years. This event is 100% privately funded by the Hingham Downtown Association a non-profit organization and it costs over $17,000. Please help keep this tradition alive! HDA is requesting the support from the community to keep this cherished event going and asking for donations for the Christmas in the Square Celebration at

You can also attend HDA's annual Fundraiser Miracle on Main Street (Thursday, December 5th) a cocktail party and auction. The entire community is invited to this ticketed festive event. It’s a great way to kick-off the holiday season while having a great time with friends and members of the community – all for a good cause. Guests will enjoy open bar, lite bites from local restaurants, and live music. There will be a silent auction and one-of-a-kind experiences on which to bid -- including a ride on the fire truck with Santa to Christmas in the Square, a ride in the police car escorting Santa to the Square, and VIP parking downtown on the night of the celebration.

And, please consider purchasing a luminary candle bag to celebrate our second annual Luminaria Festival. The Luminaria's will “Light up the Square” on December 6th, the night of Christmas in the Square. They can be purchased by individuals or families with a donation of $20. Add your family name, greeting or in-memory-of message to the bag to create a special new tradition for your family. Funds from the sale of the Luminaria's go directly towards the cost of presenting Christmas in the Square.

You can purchase tickets, buy Luminaria’s and make donations at
