The Beth officially opens today, after a successful soft opening week under its belt. The Briar Group – a family run restaurant group by the O’Connor family – is excited to add another restaurant to their portfolio, which includes Boston-based City Bar, The Harp, and MJ O’Connor’s.  Situated prominently in the Hingham Shipyard, The Beth places homage to the historic surroundings and settings, specifically the Bethlehem Steel Company, which was one of most prominent steel manufacturers and shipbuilders during World War II, and employed a whopping 2,500 women. With oversized, vintage-inspired murals and retro-artworks of women steel workers, guests will feel the historic references, which plays nicely to one of the female-lead restaurateurs Carlie O'Connor as part of the helm.

Upon entering the space, guests will find a large dining room, wrap-around bar, a roomy patio overlooking the water, and two private areas for parties and special events. The beautiful construction was done by Cafco Construction, owned by Hingham native Adam Amonte. The menu is coastal with a global influence, think raw bar, sushi, flatbreads, lobster rolls, Banh Mi, ribeye, and pastas, and of course craft cocktails, wine and beer. We had the pleasure of sampling the Tuna and Salmon Poke Nachos, Sweet Chili Glazed Shrimp, and Roasted Heirloom Tomato Flatbread, which were all fresh and delicious. The Beth is a welcome addition to Hingham, and will serve as a destination for sipping cocktails, date nights, and dining out with kids, thanks to a kid menu and large banquettes.

The Beth is open for lunch and dinner daily. The bar is open until 1:00 am on weekends. Coming soon: weekend brunch and online ordering.

Stay-tuned for a more in-depth review and menu rundown coming early July.

  1. Newest Hottest restaurant! Everything about it is amazing. The O’Connors have been in the restaurant/hospitality business for a long time so I know it will be a big success. And a special shout out to Carlie O’Connor Pardini for doing an outstanding job and a lot of hard work on the opening of The Beth ❤️
