The Hingham Red 13U Baseball team captured the Massachusetts State Division Title on Sunday, July 12, 2026, defeating Melrose in the state final showdown. The victory secures Hingham’s status as the Massachusetts 2026 13U representative team in the 50/70 East Region Tournament.
A Dominant Playoff Run
After sweeping through district play, Hingham grabbed the top seed in the state championship with an undefeated pool play schedule, winning each game by mercy rule. Over the course of the playoff run, including the state semifinals and finals, Hingham pitchers and fielders allowed a collective total of only seven runs to opposing offenses.

The Journey Continues in Delaware
Hingham Red 13U will pack their bags to represent the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at the 2026 Little League Intermediate (50/70) East Region Tournament in Dover, Delaware. The tournament runs from July 23–28, where Hingham will battle state champions from across the eastern seaboard, including Maine, New Hampshire, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Maryland, and the host state, Delaware. The winner of the East Regional tournament earns a direct ticket to the prestigious Little League Intermediate (50/70) Baseball World Series, which takes place from August 2–9, 2026, at Max Baer Park in Livermore, California.
The 13U title caps off an extraordinary week for youth baseball in town. Just days after the 13U victory, the Hingham 12U squad also captured their respective District Title. The 12U team is now moving on to regional play, aiming for their own historic run toward the legendary Williamsport tournament.
As these young athletes prepare for the next step on the regional and national stage, the town of Hingham is rallying behind them. Local fans are cheering on Hingham Red 13U as they take on their upcoming challenges with the trademark poise, confidence, sportsmanship, and skill that has defined their championship season.
