Artisans in the Square, located at 63 South Street, Hingham is pleased to announce their newest member, Donna Mannion, of HeartFelt Designs by Donna, from Scituate.
Scituate resident Donna Mannion of HeartFelt Designs began a lifelong interest in creating her own designs when she was a young girl. “I was always busy making things whether it was Barbie clothes or crocheting blankets and scarves”.
Over the years, Donna branched out into cross stitch and needlepoint before discovering needle felting. “With needle felting I start with pieces of 100% pure wool and use special barbed needles to create ‘mini-sculptures’ out of fiber. I love the feeling of fiber on my fingers and am inspired by all the shades of wool”.
Donna features new and seasonal designs throughout the year. “My goal is to create things with a touch of whimsy that put smiles on people’s faces and help make every day just a little bit brighter”.
In her spare time you can find Donna in her garden or spending time with her husband Jim, daughter Laura and son Jeff.
The members are very excited to have this talented woman joining them February 1st. Please stop by to meet Donna and see her wonderful creations! Donna will be working at the shop February 5th, 10th, and 19th from 10-5.
