The Hingham Farmers Market is pleased to announce its 2021 Winter Market at the Wompatuck State Park Visitor Center, 204 Union St., Hingham. The Visitor Center is easily reached just inside the park’s Union St. entrance near the high school.

Beginning this Saturday, January 9, the market will meet weekly from 10am to 1pm during January, February and March.

Mark Cullings, president of HFM, Inc., said, “The HFM is excited to be able to bring the market back to Wompatuck this winter for a second year. We are grateful to both the Department of Conservation and Recreation and Hingham’s Department of Health for permission to operate an open-air market during the COVID-19 public health crisis.”

The market will be outdoors on the traffic circle in front of the Visitor Center. The following vendors are expected: Aeonian Farm (produce), River Rock Farm (beef), Copicut Farms (poultry & pork), Jordan Brothers (seafood), To Dine For (Mediterranean food), The Sweet Spirit (Indian desserts), The Hale (small batch beef bone broth) and The Spoon Soup Co. (small batch soups). More details about these vendors as well as their pre-ordering procedures are available on the HFM website, www.hinghamfarmersmarket.org. Market administrators ask that, when possible, customers use these pre-ordering platforms, however on-site sales will be permitted.

COVID procedures will be in place. Patrons are asked to wear masks, practice social distancing and minimize cash transactions.

Given the unpredictability of New England winters, the market will be weather dependent and individual vendors may elect not to attend if road conditions are unsafe.

For updates and further information, patrons are encouraged to visit the HFM’s website, www.hinghamfarmersmarket.org, or its Facebook and Instagram pages. In addition, HFMarket Matters, the market’s weekly newsletter, published every Thursday during the market seasons, offers the most current information. Interested readers may sign up on the website or Facebook.
