Downtown Hingham will become a community-wide gallery on Sunday, Oct. 18, as the Hingham Arts Walk returns for its 21st year, bringing more than 130 local artists to shops, sidewalks, open studios and historic buildings.

The free event, hosted by the Hingham Downtown Association, runs from noon to 4 p.m., rain or shine.

Visitors can meet artists, watch demonstrations and browse original work across a wide range of mediums, including painting, illustration, photography, jewelry, pottery, mixed media, pastels, collage, woodworking and decorative arts. Youth artwork will also be featured.

With artists demonstrating, displaying and selling their work throughout downtown, the afternoon offers a chance to learn about the creative process and purchase pieces directly from their makers including local artists Karla Hunter of K. Hunter Art, Lisa Corrado of Lisa Corrado Art & Design, Alyssa Fortin Fine Art Photography, and so many more!

The Arts Walk also offers an opportunity to explore downtown’s independently owned shops and restaurants. Exhibits throughout Hingham Square invite visitors to step inside familiar businesses, discover new favorites and enjoy the historic setting while supporting the local arts community.
