As the winter season comes to an end, this week’s Athlete of the Week presented by College Hype shows that effort, attitude, and hard work counts as much as goals and baskets. Sophomore Aiden Rotondo gave 100% every time he stepped on the ice for the Harbormen this season. This is Aiden’s second year on varsity and has made a big impact on his team and coaches this season.
“Aiden plays with a ton of passion every time he gets on the ice,” says head coach Tony Messina. “He may be small in stature, but he played big down the stretch and into the tournament. His contribution to the team is much more than his point total. He was our energy guy in most every game.”
Senior captain Paul Dzavik was also impressed with Aiden’s performance this season.
“Super hard working guy who is always optimistic,” Dzavik says. “Despite his size, he never backs down from a challenge and a hard situation. He’s also a very skilled player who has all the right tools. All of these things will pay off for him in his future careers and he will be a superstar.”
Congrats Aiden and the rest of the Harboromen on a great season.
