Allan J. Masison of Linden Ponds, Hingham, formerly of Weymouth, died March 6, 2022 at the age of 92.
Allan was born in Milton to Charles and Dorothy Masison. Mr. Masison was a graduate of Weymouth High School, class of 1946. He was an Army combat veteran of the Korean War. He retired from the Town of Hingham as the Town Accountant for six years and also served as the Town Accountant of Weymouth for 12 years. Mr. Masison was active in the Town of Weymouth serving on the Appropriations Committee as well as other town boards and committees. He was chairman of the troop committee for Troup 73 Weymouth Boy Scouts and managed a Farm League baseball team for ten years.
Beloved husband of 66 years to Patricia (Conway) Masison. Loving father of Mary Droege of CA, Michael Masison of Abington, Daniel Masison of MD, David Masison of NH, Allan J. Masison, Jr. of Whitman, Stephen Masison of ME, and Tricia Ciolfi of NH. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Brother of the late Dotty Tucker, the late Jean Clarke and the late Charlie Masison. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM.
