In the spirit of the holidays, community service and recycling, the Scouts of Troop 1 Hingham are running their annual “Christmas Tree Drive.”  For Hingham Residents that sign up at www.hinghamtreedrive.com , local boy scouts – spanning students from grades 6 to 12 – will pick up your Christmas tree curbside.

Over its 111-year history, Troop 1 Hingham has helped thousands of Hingham youth to experience new challenges and become leaders in the town, state and nation. Troop 1 continues to thrive, thanks to the ongoing support received from the many friends of Scouting in Hingham.

When
Tree collection will continue on Saturday January 8th and Sunday January 9th – spots are filling up quickly and the 9th is your last opportunity to get your tree picked up this season. A donation of $15 is much appreciated; 100% of the funds raised go directly to support Hingham Scouts.

How
To be included in this year’s tree drive, please visit the website at http://HinghamTreeDrive.com or call 781-312-2405 to reserve your pick-up day. We’re happy to announce that we can accept online payment on our web site. Please place your tree and donation near the street by 8:00 a.m. that morning, and the Scouts will come by between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. that day to pick it up.
