Early February is typically a stormy time in New England, and this year appears to be no different.

Here’s a look at what to expect in Hingham for the next week.

Snowy for the Super Bowl

For the second weekend in a row, the South Shore will face a winter storm.

This one will be very quick moving, with light snow arriving late Sunday morning. The snow will fall steadily during the afternoon, before winding down during the Super Bowl.

At this point 2-4” of snow is expected in town.

Wintry Feel this Week

After Sunday’s snow, sunshine will return on Monday, but it will feel like winter. Daytime highs most of the week will only be around 30, with overnight temperatures in the teens to near 20.

More Storm Chances

Another, albeit weaker system, will move through some time late Tuesday into Wednesday. That will likely also bring some snow to town, with the potential for minor accumulation.

We’ll then get a break Wednesday into Thursday, with a blend of sunshine and clouds, before yet another storm tries to come at us Friday into the weekend.

Whether or not we see rain, snow, or a wintry mix will be determined by the intensity and track of that storm.
