Alright, Dads – it’s your turn to be celebrated!  Father’s Day is less than four weeks away, and since our recent Mother’s Day promotion went so well that we partnered with local mortgage broker, Brian Cavanaugh to bring you an exciting Father’s Day giveaway. Brian Cavanaugh is a local father of four (#feedfourkids), and he jumped at the chance to help celebrate all things Dad!

This time of year is a good reminder to give dad’s the credit they deserve. During this pandemic, many Dads are pitching in overtime to keep things smooth sailing at home by shifting priorities to not only focus on their professional careers in a less than ideal environment, but also pitching in to help with homeschooling, childcare, cooking, taking care of their partner, and more!

Many Dads are also on the front-line performing heroic duties with grace, and then coming home to provide much-needed comfort to those waiting at home.  We are all experiencing unique circumstances, and Dad’s deserve to be recognized for their superhero status too.

How to Enter

In the days leading up to Father’s Day, the Anchor will recognize three amazing dads in our community. To enter your dad, simply send us a submission about how your father (or husband) inspires you, in 250 words or less, along with a photo.  Must be a Hingham resident to enter.

The Anchor and Brian Cavanugh will be selecting three Dad’s at random to be featured on the Anchor and to also receive a $100 gift card to support their local business of choice (could be South Shore Country Club, Take-out of your choice, Hingham Lumber – the choice is yours)! We will select a winning Dad to be featured the three days leading up to Father’s Day beginning on June 18, 2020.

Entries will be accepted until Monday, June 15, 2020. Submissions can be emailed to [email protected].
