Antoinette Rita Fogarty, “Ann”,  of Linden Ponds in Hingham, formerly of Pembroke, Cohasset, and East Boston, passed away on July 9, 2022 at South Shore Hospital with her beloved children by her side. She was 90 years young. Family and friends are feeling the great loss of a vibrant, loving, and joyful woman.

Antoinette was raised in East Boston by first generation Italian immigrant parents, Domenic and Giovanna (Ivaldi) Centracchio. She graduated from East Boston High School and Massasoit Community College, and enjoyed a successful career in real estate and the insurance industry. Ann retired from Sentry Insurance after 30 years as a Senior Sales Representative of which she achieved national top producer status, including top female salesperson in the country, and won many awards for her outstanding performance.

She had a life long love for swimming, dancing to all music genres,  and going to the beach, She enjoyed traveling to Italy, Europe, and Hawaii. But her favorite place of all was Aruba, her “home away from home”. She brought so many friends and family to the island that she was named Honorary Ambassador by the Aruba  Minister of Tourism.

Antoinette enjoyed her social life at Linden Ponds where she frequently organized ballroom dances with orchestras and was President of  the Italian American Club. Being very patriotic, she was also a member of the Political Club. Antoinette was a woman of strong Catholic faith, nurtured from a young age, and was a member of the Catholic Club at the Church of the Resurrection in Hingham.

She was the loving and devoted mother of Thomas Fogarty and his wife Christine of Cohasset, Mary Ann Pessa of Hanover, Janet Fogarty and her husband Tim Kelley of Weymouth, and Robert Fogarty and his wife Yolla of Sudbury. She adored and cherished her eight grandchildren Tommy, Tracy, Rachel, and Alexandra Fogarty and Daniel, Joey, Greg, and Giovanna Pessa, and her first great grandchild, Zoe Pessa, born two days before her passing. She was also the dedicated and loving Aunt “Zia” to Jeanne Hill and her husband Ken of Methuen, and their children Mike and Vanessa, and adoring Aunt to many Fogarty nieces and nephews across the country.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday July 14, 2022 from 4-8 PM at the Pyne-Keohane Funeral. Home, 21 Emerald Street, Hingham.

Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 10:15 AM on Friday July 15, 2022 prior to the 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at the church of the Resurrection, 1057 Main Street (route 228) Hingham, followed by burial at Pembroke Center Cemetery, Pembroke.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers, T2T.org or ServantsofChristMinistries.org.
