A Message of Appreciation From Supt. Austin

I would like to give a shout-out to all Hingham Public Schools administrators, teachers, and staff for the amazing work they are doing.

Many of our staff have children at home and are doing an incredible job of juggling life at home while connecting with students and parents.  They all inspire me!

And  another shout-out to all the parents and members of the Hingham community for managing this very difficult and unprecedented pandemic.  We are truly all in this together and together, we really will get through this as one!

I know it is difficult right now, but I encourage each of us to see the good that is happening around us every day.  I am overwhelmed with pride to be part of such an incredible community.

We cannot overstress the point that we all need to stay home, go out if only absolutely necessary, and to social distance.  The better we can do that, the faster we will all be back to our normal way of life.

In the meantime, the HPS’ food program is available five days a week for any Hingham student in need.

I am proud to say that today we are also providing meals to many senior veterans in Hingham, which will be delivered by our transportation department.  This is truly an amazing and wonderful gesture of goodwill.
