Hingham High School graduate Will Griffin recently concluded his senior season as a member of the Allegheny College football program with All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) accolades.

Griffin, who was elected a team captain for the 2025 season, was an integral part of Allegheny’s offense and helped the Gators improve by three games in the win column. The Gators made significant strides in 2025, finishing with a 4-6 overall record and a 4-4 record against PAC opponents.

On the offensive side of the ball, Griffin experienced a breakout campaign. Despite entering 2025 with only six catches for 26 yards, the former linebacker turned tight end developed into a key red-zone target. He logged career highs in receptions (19), yards (158), and touchdowns (5), highlighted by a four-game scoring streak during the month of October. Griffin hauled in his fifth touchdown in a one-sided 42-6 Senior Day victory over Bethany College (W.Va.) on November 15. At the season’s end, coaches from around the conference elected Griffin an All-PAC Honorable Mention.

Although his All-PAC nod is the first of his career, it’s not the only award Griffin – who was named to the MHSFCA Division II All-State football team as a senior – earned during his four years with the Blue & Gold. Before taking over as the team’s starting tight end, he was a mainstay on special teams. As a sophomore in 2022, Griffin was named to the D3football.com All-Region 2 First Team as a special teams specialist. Not only did he block on Allegheny’s return units, but he also accumulated seven tackles and two forced fumbles on punt and kick coverage.

Griffin joins former Gator quarterback Jack Johnson as the second Hingham native to earn All-PAC awards in recent years. A three-year starting quarterback, Johnson was also named an All-PAC Honorable Mention after throwing for nearly 2,400 yards and 15 touchdowns as a senior in 2023.
