On Saturday, June 18th, The Hingham Anchor hosted an “Anchors Away” sunset cruise to kick off summer and celebrate our incredible partners for a night of gratitude for their support over the past few years.

Without the help of our partners, we would not be able to operate as a free platform for our community. We gathered and raised our anchor to our supporters, and it was a perfect night!

We were also so excited to finally announce our Hinghamite(s) of the Year – Jon Asher and Deirdre Anderson.  More to come with an article specifically dedicated to their amazing accomplishments as stewards of community in Hingham.  Be sure to also look for Jon & Deirdre in this year's Fourth of July Parade!

Yacht Rock music provided by "Endless Summer" a part of Murray Hill Talent Group.

The night was especially successful in large thanks to the Yacht Rock tunes that were provided by “Endless Summer” and the food donations provided from local partners - Alma Nove, Stars on Hingham Harbor, Salty Day Fish, the amazing Cheese Board by On Board Hingham and Victoria Donnelly’s scrumptious cupcakes!

Jim Dunphy, President & CEO of South Shore Bank and sponsor of the event, welcomes attendees.

Special thanks also goes out to our amazing sponsor of the evening and the Hinghamite of the year award – South Shore Bank.  South Shore Bank truly believes in investing in our community and we were so grateful to be joined by Jim Dunphy, President & CEO of South Shore Bank, along with John Mannion, First Vice President of South Shore Bank.
