SUMMER SEASON OPENING OF HINGHAM FARMERS MARKET SATURDAY, MAY 2ND

May 1, 2026 Submitted By Hingham Farmers Market Team

Hingham Farmers Market first summer season market is May 2 – this Saturday. Mike Anderson, the market manager, organized a group of vendors who come to share their products with you from 9 AM to 1 PM at 95 Station Street. Whether a home grown radish or a homemade scone, these vendors take pride in their products and look forward to seeing them enjoyed by the market-goers like you.

In addition to our long standing produce vendors, Aeonian, Freitas, Teal and Stargazer and many others, HFM has three new vendors that will attend this Saturday – Sugar Magnolia and Wanderlust and Fireking. Sugar Magnolia with Jess Anderson, is a new business who brings a dedication and commitment to providing the best taste with cheesecake bites, chocolate cake and biscotti. Wanderlust Treats, brings a sweet touch to flowers. They are an interactive bouquet bar where market guests choose their own fresh stems and build personalized arrangements. Fireking, an artisan bread company, is a new vendor to HFM. They bring long standing, recognized quality to their bread products having originally started about 20 years ago in the location where Cafe Tosca is now. HFM appreciates their commitment to attending this market.

Bev Vernon, President of HFM, talked about the build up and planning for May 2 and the season: “Planning is always underway for each and every Saturday”. She continued, “Put Friday, July 3, from 3 PM to 7 PM on your calendar for a special market. And, if you want you or your child to be in the Hingham July 4 parade, HFM will have a float and you can be with us. There is always something going on at HFM!”

In addition to the major, longtime sponsors of Hingham Institution for Savings and the Fruit Center Marketplace, Hingham has some new sponsors that support the SNAP match program. Derby Street Shops, Stars, and Earley Law. Because of their sponsorship, the Supplementation Nutrition Assistance Program is able to match $20 each Saturday to each market-goer utilizing this program.

Please subscribe to the newsletter through the website www.hinghamfarmersmarket.org and follow HFM on social media each week to see what is going with the vendors and in the community. HFM is a 501 (c) (6) non-profit organization. With the support of our sponsors, HFM is able to support the vendors and community.
