South Shore Conservatory celebrates 100 years of jazz and the artists who shaped America’s most original art form. Sunday, 5/31 @ 3 pm.
In honor of the 100th birthday of Miles Davis, this concert traces the great lineage of jazz through the big band tradition, featuring music by Miles Davis, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and other masters who defined the sound of a century.
This Carr Amphitheater concert features the Foxboro High School Jazz Band, an elite, award-winning ensemble led by renowned educator and director Aaron Bush, alongside Grammy-Award winning trumpeter Bijon Watson.
At 2 pm, Bijon gives a pre-concert talk on being a professional trumpet player, what it has been like working with celebrities.
