Sunny Start to the Week
After a beautiful weekend, the first part of this week is staying sunny and nice.
Tuesday will bring bright sun and afternoon high temperatures in the low 70s, after refreshing morning temperatures around 60. It will be coolest right near the water, courtesy of an onshore wind, and a bit warmer as you work farther away from the water.
Wednesday Warm Up
Temperatures will briefly warm into the 80s on Wednesday, with our wind turning around to the southwest.
This shift in wind happens ahead of a cold front, which will arrive late in the day with the risk of some showers or storms.
Watching the Tropics Late Week
Skies will be mostly cloudy Thursday and Friday, with a few rounds of showers as well.
The culprit will be an area of tropical weather currently located near the Bahamas. It's possible this becomes a tropical depression, or a tropical storm, as it slowly meanders out to sea to our south late in the week.
Tropical Storm Nicholas is soaking the Texas coast right now, and there's another system that may get a name as it emerges off the coast of Africa. So, if the system near us gets a name it will be either Odette or Peter.
Either way it looks like this system will pull away next weekend, eventually allowing our skies to clear out once again.
