Obituary: Judith M. McCulloch, March 3, 1942 – May 9 2025

Judith M. McCulloch (Hay), age 83, a lifelong resident of Weymouth, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family.  Born on March 3, 1942, in Weymouth, Judy lived a life full of grace, strength, and creativity.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Norman W. McCulloch; her cherished son, Scott W. McCulloch; her parents Muriel Z. Hay and Howard W. Hay; her siblings William C. Hay, John T Hay, Pamela J. Yeargeau, and Deborah J. Mitchell.

Judy is lovingly survived by her daughter Bonnie L. Mehrman and her husband, Brian of Weymouth; her daughter in law Bonnie L. McCulloch of Weymouth, Five adored grandchildren – Rebecca, Kurt, Emma, Brittany and Abigail; five Great Grandchildren, and her brother Howard T. Hay of Alexandria, VA.

Judy had a gift for bringing beauty into the world.  She began her career as a florist, sharing her artistic touch and a passion for flowers, while with her husband, Norman, they owned Antiques and Flowers of Hingham.  Until their love of Auctions and Antiques brought them to open the Auction Gallery in Hingham.  Having had a successful business for many decades.  Judy had a special eye for treasures of the past and a deep appreciation for the stories they told.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Judy had a love for golf, a talent for entertaining, and a special flair for throwing memorable holiday family dinners.  She will be remembered for her warm heart, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

A celebration of Judy’s life will be held at the First Church in Weymouth on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 11am. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Judy by gathering with loved ones, sharing a story, making peace with family, raise a glass in her memory, just as she would have wanted.
