Ann D. (Duffly) Mitchelson, age 88, of Braintree and Hingham, Massachusetts, passed away on June 28, 2026. She was the daughter of Gerard and Agnes Duffly of Hingham. Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, David H. Mitchelson (2022). Both were members of the Archbishop Williams High School Class of 1955. She was also predeceased by their daughter, Lisa Mitchelson of Hingham (2004).
Ann is survived by her daughters, Susan Bradley and her husband, Mark, of Santa Barbara, California, and Sarah Vitulano and her husband, Scott, of Braintree. She was the proud grandmother of Katherine Bradley and her wife, Elise, of Los Angeles, California, and Alexandra Schutzer and her husband, Harrison, of Rochester, New York. She also leaves her cherished great-granddaughter, Penelope Schutzer. Ann is also survived by her brother, Thomas Duffly and his wife, Frances; her sister, Kathleen Budreski; and was predeceased by her sister, Maureen Joyce; her brother-in-law, Brendan Joyce; and her brother-in-law, Frederick Budreski. She also leaves her loving nieces and nephews, Mark Budreski, Anjali Budreski, Jon Budreski, and Kathleen Joyce, as well as dear family friend, Julie Mellgren. They will all miss her greatly.
Ann traveled frequently and extensively, yet was happiest at home tending to her perennials. She was a longtime member of the Garden Club of Hingham, and her beautiful gardens were a joy to all who visited. Ann was also a talented artist whose painted works may be found in homes throughout the area.
Services will be private at the Hingham Cemetery Memorial Garden.
