When the South Shore Special Needs Athletic Partnership (SNAP) was given the go ahead to host Pizza Palooza for the first time since 2019 (thanks, COVID!), the SNAP Board faced a challenge.
They wondered if there would be enough pizzerias willing to participate. The board decided to expand the event to include other restaurants and renamed the March 29 event Pizza Palooza Plus. With only two weeks to go, more pizzerias are joining the fun.
Joining Boathouse Bistro, Old Country, South Shore Sports Center and Big Y in the pizza department will be Comellas, Crow Point Pizzeria, Olympus, Cohasset House of Pizza and Route 3A Pizza. The Venetian, Café Tosca, and Greenside Grille will now be joined by Euro Mart offering other food. Due to a scheduling conflict , Jersey Mike’s is unable to attend but has donated 50 coupons, each good for a free sub.
The SNAP board is also busy assembling 12 different gift baskets to be raffled.
The event will be held in the Hingham High School Cafeteria on Wednesday, March 29, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Admission is $ 15 per person and $ 35 per family and cash, checks, debit and credit cards along with Venmo payments will be accepted at the door. Pizza Palooza Plus is sponsored by SS SNAP, The Hingham Business Council, South Shore Bank, and The Beth.
All of the net proceeds will help fund SNAP’s summer programs and the already sold out I Can Shine Learn to Ride a Bike Program.
