Each year, letter carriers across our country take part in the Help Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, collecting non-perishable food as they deliver the mail. Since its inception in 1993, it has been the largest one day food drive to benefit local pantries. Hingham Food Pantry, which is located at Second Parish Church at 685 Main Street, has been a fortunate beneficiary for all of those years.

This year the drive will take place on Saturday, May 11. Please support your mail carrier and the Hingham Food Pantry. The pantry particularly needs granola bars, cracker sandwiches, beef stew, rice side dishes, cookies, crackers, ketchup, mayonnaise (small jars), instant coffee, decaf instant coffee and diapers sizes 4, 5, 6 or 7. We will accept any and all donations of non-perishable food that can be placed at your mailbox for your carrier to pick up on Saturday.  Please be certain that your donation is unopened and unexpired.

Hingham Food Pantry has been providing for local residents since 1991. It serves 176 different families annually, totaling 491 different people.  In an average week the pantry provides 50-60 families with 480 bags of groceries. Please help us to continue to support our neighbors by donating on Saturday. Should you need food  or have further questions please call us at 781-740-8180.  Together we can fight hunger in Hingham! Thank you.
