Hi, my name is Janine Suchecki and I am a candidate for Hingham Housing Authority.

Born and raised here, my husband Dan and I are thankful to live and raise our 2 children – Charlie (9) and Jack (3) – in Hingham. This town holds a special place in my heart, and it will always be my home.  I am a 1995 Hingham High School Graduate.  Following high school, I proudly served in the United States Navy as a Sonar Technician.  Following my service, I attended Aquinas College in Milton, receiving my A.S. in Business Management.  I’ve worked as a customer service specialist and training coordinator for Verizon, and in union negotiations with the IBEW Local 2222.  Currently, I run my own marketing and strategy business, which specializes in providing outstanding service to nonprofits and municipalities.

I enjoy serving the Town, having sat on both the Cultural Council and the Veteran’s Council.  I see the challenges some of our veterans face and would be an effective voice for those who have served our country.  I work well with various Hingham departments, and could complement the existing board to ensure that the residents living in the Hingham Housing Authority housing are proud to call this their home.

I believe these experiences have prepared me to advocate for Hingham Housing Authority residents. I’m committed to ensuring that all of our residents can enjoy quality of life in a place we all call home.

Sitting on the Housing Authority would give me the opportunity to give back to the Town. My priority is to ensure our fellow residents are served with respect and care, so that they too can enjoy Hingham. As a veteran and with a mother living here, I’m aware of the challenges faced in being able to afford living here. If elected to the Housing Authority, I would be a voice that can reach out to those groups and establish better communications with the Hingham Housing Authority residents. I would listen carefully to them, help advocate for needed resources and repairs, and ensure that their voice is heard in our community.

I hope I can count on your support, so I can continue my service to Hingham. I’ve suggested a few ways you can pitch in and show your support.  Thank you in advance for your support!

I humbly ask for your support – and your vote – for Hingham Housing Authority in the upcoming Town election on Saturday, April 27, 2019.
