It’s time to register for the Hingham July 4th Road Race!

June 2, 2023 By Carol Britton Meyer

Runners are gearing up for this year’s “64 Years and Running!” Hingham Fourth of July Road Race, starting from Hingham Middle School at 7 a.m.

Runners will have access to three water stations and support and EMT services along the runner-friendly route.

The 4.47-mile race ends under the huge American flag in downtown Hingham, where runners will be greeted by an enthusiastic crowd, followed by an awards ceremony for the top male and female finishers.

Bus transportation to the start of the race will begin at 5:15 a.m., leaving from Station Street near the Euro Mart parking lot. At the end of the race, bus transportation will be available back to the Middle School, departing from South Street near the CVS parking lot beginning at 7:30 a.m.

To enhance safety, no pets, strollers, baby joggers, skateboards, or bikes will be allowed in the race, and unregistered runners will be diverted off the course.

Sponsorships are still available and, as always, sponsor logos will be printed on the back of this year’s road race T-shirt.

Go to https://racewire.com/register.php?id=13395#add_entry for full details, to register, and for sponsorship information as well as the history of the road race. The entry fee is $35 until July 3 at noon and $40 on the day of the race.
