Hingham Veterans were recognized last night before Hingham’s wrestling match vs Plymouth North.

Hingham High School’s wrestling team honored local veterans before last night’s match against Plymouth North. The special ceremony included remarks by State Representative Joan Meschino, Select Board members Liz Klein and Joe Fisher, and head wrestling coach Paul Canniff. Those in attendance also remembered those service members who are no longer with us, including former Hingham wrestler Sgt. Matthew Partyka, who’s varsity jacket displayed on a chair by the mat.
Hingham went onto win the meet 51-19 highlighted by pins from senior captains Sam Oppendisano and Jack Kelleher.

Veterans were recognized for their service and sacrifice by those in attendance.
Hingham Police Color Guard was in attendance for the ceremony.
State Representative Joan Meschino made a few remarks during the ceremony honoring veterans.
Select Board member Joe Fisher, along with fellow member Liz Klien also said a few words.
Hingham wrestling coach Paul Canniff expressed his appreciation before the match.
Members of Hingham High School’s Veteran’s Appreciation Club paid their respects as well.
