On Saturday, the Hingham wrestling squad soundly defeated Braintree, Oliver Ames and Somerset Berkeley to remain unbeaten on the season. Coach Paul Canniff expressed “I’m happy with how we are wrestling so far this season and we will need to continue to wrestle strong” as they enter the seasons most anticipated match against arch rival Duxbury at home on Wednesday the 10th at 7:00pm.

Hingham dominated the quad match, beginning with multiple pins on the mat by Hugh McGourty, Cole Riordan, Johnny Morris and Tucker Burke vs Somerset Berkeley. Hingham took charge with decisive point victories by Ned Buckley, Jakub Wozny, Aidan Chan and Tyler Grady to win the opening match. Hingham kept it going against Oliver Ames with senior captains Danny Phillips, Jakub Wozny and Aidan Chan winning by points over Oliver Ames opponents.  Senior Captain Johnny Morris, Ian Prebble, Cole Riordan, Ned Buckley, Tucker Burke, Eamon Murphy and Tyler Grady were winners by pin and JD Lucas by points. Senior Julian Fopiano kept the crowd on their feet in the heavy weight match but was narrowly edged in the overtime duel.
