February 6, 2025 By The Town of Hingham
Plymouth County Commissioner Jared Valanzola and Treasurer Tom O’Brien presented the Hingham Select Board with a check for $3,025,574.32 in federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds. These funds mark the final portion of the total $4.4 million allocation to the Town.
In total, these funds will support several key projects, with the largest portion—$3 million—dedicated to Route 3A sewer system improvements. Additional funding has been used for a stormwater master plan, regional water study, economic development strategic plan, the new Public Safety Facility, and other community initiatives.
By securing these ARPA funds, the Town is able to make critical investments in Hingham’s infrastructure and future while reducing the financial impact on taxpayers and ratepayers. The Town appreciates the support and partnership from Plymouth County in making these resources available.
