Hingham Public Schools Selects Michelle Romano as Interim Science Director

The Hingham Public Schools is pleased to announce Michelle Romano as Interim Science Director, effective immediately, to replace Kathryn Roberts who has recently been appointed to Interim Assistant Superintendent. Ms. Romano will serve in the role of the Interim Science Director for the 2022-2023 school year as Ms. Roberts serves as the Interim Assistant Superintendent.

Ms. Romano has been a science educator for over twelve years and has been with the Hingham Public Schools science department for nine years, most recently holding the position of 7th and 8th grade Life Science Teacher. Her role included designing and updating curriculum guides for grades 6-8, researching and designing instructional resources for student learning, collaborating with colleagues on instructional design, and facilitating department meetings. Ms. Romano is also a part of the Mentoring and Induction Program in which she is a building liaison for incoming teachers to Hingham Middle School.

Ms. Romano’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education with a focus in biology from the University of South Florida and a Master of Education degree with a focus in Educational Leadership from Northeastern University.
