The Hingham Girls Golf Team is the 2026 Patriot League Co-Champions with Duxbury High School. With 19 girls on the team, the Girls Golf program has the needed depth of playing ability to have a strong Varsity and JV program. The Varsity team has a 11-3 record with wins against Duxbury away, Cohasset home and away, Scituate home and away, Marshfield home and away, Silver Lake home and Away, and Quincy/North Quincy home and away. The Varsity squad had close losses to NDA Hingham home and away, and Duxbury home.

Key players during the season have been the returning varsity players, #1 Callie Crean – Junior Captain 13-0, #2 Finley Erick – Senior Captain 8-2, #3 Sam McCabe – Sophomore 12-1, #6 Taylor Sullivan – Senior Captain 7-2-2, #7 Ella Halsing – Sophomore 7-1-1, and #8 Ciara McGuinness – Junior 9-1-2. New additions to the Varsity lineup include #4 Arianna Sood – Senior 9-1-3, and #5 Clara Nugent – Sophomore 8-3. Sood and Nugent have been key players to the top 6 lineup and have shown improvement in their game in all aspects. Rounding out the top 8 are the Varsity alternates, Courtney Bodner – Senior, Olivia Nolan – Senior, Addie Prindeville – Sophomore, and Phoebe Hertzog – Freshman. Erick and Crean are both 2025 Patriot League All-Stars. In addition, Crean is the 2025 Patriot League All-Star, finished in second place at the South Sectional Qualifier at Maplegate Country Club, and finished in ninth place at the State Championship at Sandy Burr Country Club. This year, Crean has posted several sub par rounds with her undefeated match play record against some of the best players in the state.

Senior captain Finley Erick is one of the main reasons Hingham captured a share of the regular season title.

The JV team is 3-2-2 with their matches with big wins against Quincy/North Quincy home and away, and Scituate. The JV squad also tied matches against NDA Hingham. Some of the key JV players include Sarah Nauyokas – Senior, Sarah Hardiman – Sophomore, Anna Corbett – Sophomore, Scarlet Roberts – Freshman, Holly Comoletti – Freshman, Addie Bastia – Freshman, and Sam Downes – Freshman. HHS Girls Golf JV is led by Lisa Vialle whose expertise and knowledge about the fundamentals of golf has allowed our newer players to thrive!

Hingham is headed to the South Sectional Golf Tournament on Wednesday, May 27th, at Foxborough Country Club, where the Varsity squad will compete against some of the best teams in the state.

Sophomore Samantha McCabe is part a group of underclassmen looking to carry the success of the program into the future.

“This group of players is very special, and I am so amazed by the number of girls who want to play golf this season,” says head Coach Samantha Leary.  “The HHS Girls Golf program takes pride in coaching and developing players of all skill levels into accomplished players who love the game of golf. It gives me so much satisfaction to see a freshman who is a new player develop into an influential varsity player during their junior and senior years. It is also important to note that the HHS Girls Golf program could not be the success that it is without the support of South Shore Country Club staff – the wonderful pros (Chris Riley, Mike Libby, and Bryan Kraus), the boosters and parents of our players, and the Hingham community.”
