Gabrielle A. R. Roegner

Gabrielle A. R. Roegner, of Hingham, passed away Friday, August 11, 2023. She was 58.

Gabby grew up in Hingham, MA and graduated from Hingham High School in 1983. After receiving her bachelor’s degree from Skidmore College, she worked as a human resources leader for over 20 years. Gabby loved the beach, traveling anywhere, and working on intricate puzzles. She was a lifelong supporter of the arts and a master gardener; however, she loved those activities best when shared with family and friends. A proud member of the community, Gabby volunteered with the Hingham Fourth of July Parade Committee for many years and attended services at Glastonbury Abbey. Gabby was an incredibly caring, generous and insightful woman who navigated life with a rare graciousness and fierce loyalty. She always took time to care for others, whether she knew them or not, because she lived her faith daily. Gabby ended her emails with her signature line “Be good to you.” She was certainly good to us.

Gabby was the loving daughter of Kathleen and Robert Parlee and the late Lucien Rousseau Jr, mother to James Roegner, sister to Anne King and husband Joe, Chris Parlee and wife Ose, Lisa Parlee, Genevieve Humez-Rousseau and husband Jonathan Hickey, and aunt to Levi, Maddie, Jake, Jillian, Jonathan, Shauna, Sam and Theo and also leaves behind a host of beloved extended family and cherished dear friends.

A service will be held for family and friends on August 21, 2023, at 10 a.m., Hingham Cemetery, 12 South Street, Hingham. Following the burial will be a reception at Glastonbury Abbey 16 Hull Street Hingham MA. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Susan G Komen Foundation.
