The popular First Parish lobster rolls sale is returning this year on Father’s Day weekend — June 16, 17, and 18 — during the 68th Annual South Shore Arts Festival on Cohasset Common.
Banners will be flying and balloons floating high during the lobster rolls sale on the Parish House lawn. The event has drawn many visitors in the past as they shopped at the festival or celebrated their fathers with a festive lunch.
This year is expected to be equally successful, with music by the Rusty Skippers Band inside the First Parish Meeting House at noon on Saturday adding a festive touch.
Orders for lobster rolls will be accepted in advance for those wishing to take theirs home to share as a family lunch or dinner or to pick up some before they are sold out. Parking spaces in front of the Parish House will be held open for those stopping by to pick up lobster rolls.
Ordering in advance at www.firstparishcohasset.org before Thursday, June 15, at 6 p.m. is encouraged since the lobster rolls sold out before the third day of the Arts Festival last year. Lobster rolls will also be available while supplies last for those wishing to stop by First Parish during the event.
Lobster roll sale hours are Friday, June 16, from noon to 6 p.m.; Saturday, June 17, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, June 18, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. or until they are sold out. The cost for a lobster roll and a bag of chips is $20. (Credit cards will be accepted.) Complimentary water will be available.
For dessert, Second Congregational on the other side of the Common will be selling delicious strawberry shortcake, another Arts Festival favorite.
Arts Festival hours are Friday, June 16, 1 to 7 p.m.; Saturday, June 17, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, June 18, from noon to 5 p.m. For more information go to http://www.ssac.org/festival.asp. Everyone is welcome
