Saint Paul School, in Hingham, is thrilled to provide its students enhanced academic programming through its new Academic Excellence and Support Center. Over the summer, and with the financial support of St. Paul Parish and the school community, Saint Paul School renovated an area in their school building for both a classroom and office space to support the learning of their present and future students.  The updated office space includes a student work area with innovative educational furniture, a meeting area for families to gather with staff and work stations for the Director of Academics and the school guidance counselor.

Ms. Amy Barnes will lead as the Director of the Academic Excellence and Support Center.  Ms. Barnes came to Saint Paul School, last year as the Apprentice Principal, through the Aspiring Leaders program of the Archdiocese of Boston.  Her past experiences include teaching early childhood, middle school, serving as a family service worker, and a special education teacher.  Ms. Amy Barneswill provide inclusion for the classrooms and some pull out for students that need extra support in the areas of mathematics and reading.  She will also conduct benchmark assessments during the year.  In addition, the center will offer advanced math and language programs for students. “I look forward to working with the students and teachers of Saint Paul School with learning in faith and knowledge,” shares Ms. Barnes.
