The theme of the Fourth of July Parade this year is "Heroes Among Us" and celebrates front line worker.  In addition to doctors, nurses and healthcare employees,  also being recognized are warehouse workers, bank tellers, custodial staff, grocery workers, truck drivers, mail and package carriers, shop owners, restaurant employees, care givers, teachers, home healthcare, public works, emergency response personnel, military, safety workers, nursing home staff, undertakers, and scientists and researchers, to name many livelihoods that helped everyone through so many months of home quarantine.

To celebrate these incredible neighbors, they are invited to walk together as the Grand Marshals.

If you are or know of a front line worker who would like to walk in this year's parade and be recognized as one of the Heroes Among Us, please contact Hingham4th@gmail.com and register as a 2021 Grand Marshal.  You must register with us by June 30th to march in the parade.  As a Grand Marshal, you will receive  information regarding the morning of the parade, where you will walk behind the 2021 Banner.

The Grand Marshal banner will be carried by retiring long time employees Town Clerk Eileen McCracken and HMLP General Manager Paul Heanue.  These two also represent some of the town employees who continued to provide essential services to the Hingham citizens throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic.
