The Joe Andruzzi Foundation, providing help, hope, and a reason to smile for New England cancer patients and their families by providing financial support when it is needed most, hosted its 17th Annual Joe Andruzzi & Friends Golf Tournamenton Monday, June 9th at Black Rock Country Club in Hingham, Massachusetts. The sold-out tournament hosted more than 144 golfers who helped to raise approximately $350,000 to help those in need. Golfers were joined by a wide range of New England sports legends and media personalities, including Matthew Slater, former New England Patriots Captain, three-time Super Bowl Champion, and Special Teams standout; former New England Patriots running backs coach Ivan Fears; television personality Jared Haibon (The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise); Nick “Fitzy” Stevens from WEEI; Jerry Thornton of Barstool Sports; former Patriots offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia; former Patriots offensive lineman Russ Hochstein; former Patriots fullback Patrick Pass; WEEI radio host and philanthropist Greg Hill; former Patriots offensive lineman Max Lane; former Patriots linebackerTed Johnson; former Patriots cornerback Ronnie Lippett; and former Patriots running back Jon Williams.

“I want to thank everyone for coming out today to raise money to help cancer patients and their families throughout New England,” said Joe Andruzzi, Co-Founder and Chief Engagement Officer. “Through the generous donations from our presenting sponsor, Apotho Therapeutics/Frankie’s Hospitality Group, as well as our dedicated partners, wonderful guests and players, we raised around $350,000 which will provide help with household bills, groceries, transportation and more, allowing those in treatment to focus on what really matters, their health.”
The Joe Andruzzi Foundation helps New Englanders facing a cancer diagnosis through a variety of grants including Financial Assistance, Extraordinary Needs, Food Security Assistance, Treatment Transportation Assistance, and additional resources. In 2024, JAF distributed more than $1.3 million in direct assistance to help patients and their families with financial assistance to pay for housing, transportation, utilities, food, insurance, and other household expenses.
Since its start, the Foundation has granted over $13 million to more than 47,000 cancer patients and their families across New England to help ease the pressure of household expenses, food, transportation, extraordinary needs, and wellness resources while undergoing treatment.
