WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA BACK IN HINGHAM THIS YEAR

December 12, 2025 by Tom Hoffman

Volunteers from the Hingham Police Department help unload 780 wreaths to support the Wreaths Across America Program (WAA).

Hingham is one of 5200 locations where wreaths will be placed on the graves of veterans this Saturday December 13th. This year there will be over 3 million wreaths placed in all 50 states, every U.S. Territory as well as overseas. Volunteer groups from the local Daughters of the American Revolution Chapter, Hingham High School Veterans Appreciation Club, South Shore Special Needs Partnership, The Girl Scouts and Hingham Police Officers will place the wreaths at Liberty Plain Cemetery, Hingham Centre Cemetery and Old Ship/Hingham Cemetery. Last year wreaths were placed at St. Paul’s Cemetery and next year the program will rotate and place wreaths at the High Street and Fort Hill Cemeteries.
