This is a photo of the Home Meadows House in 1930. Located at 182 Main Street it was originally built by Deacon Benjamin Cushing in 1753 and looks very much like the Benjamin Lincoln and the Solomon Cushing houses. You almost wonder if they used the same builder. The basic structure has not changed even though the current family has the driveway on the left instead of the original right side. The snow along the roadway is just enough to make this a typical New England winter scene perfect for painting. This photo is from the M. A. Peterson Scrapbook in the Hingham Historical Society Archives.
