After a five-year hiatus, South Shore Conservatory (SSC) relaunches its premier fundraising gala, renamed Starry Night: South Shore Conservatory Winter Gala on Saturday, January 31, 6 pm at South Shore Country Club, 274 South Street in Hingham.
“We are delighted to relaunch our fundraising gala after a five-year hiatus,” said SSC Executive Director Cynthia Krebs Lee. “Our families, supporters, and community partners have long expressed enthusiasm for the return of this signature soirée, and we are excited to reintroduce it at a moment that feels just right. After the holiday season, a festive gathering is something many in our community truly appreciate.”
Starry Night, inspired by Vincent Van Gogh’s masterpiece by the same name, is a luminous celebration of the arts, community, and creative expression. The formal cocktail attire event features live jazz by SSC Jazz Quartet with Ryan McNeice on saxophone, Jeff Williams on piano, Chris Rathbun on upright bass, and Ed Sorrentino on drums; dance classics by guest artist Benn & Co.; elevated cuisine by Ironwood Hingham executive chef Tina Conte; and dazzling live and silent auction experiences. Proceeds support SSC’s mission to make the arts accessible to all.
Honorary Chairs for this event are longstanding members of the SSC community Fred Clifford, Sr. of Duxbury, Gerald Jones of Hingham, and Conductor Nick Palmer, formerly Hingham resident, currently of North Carolina.
