South Shore Conservatory (SSC) presents Performathon 2024, its ultimate student performance fundraising marathon, Friday, April 5 through Sunday, April 7. The community is welcome to attend all performances and will have the opportunity to sponsor SSC student performers.
Performathon engages students, faculty, staff, and families in raising money to benefit the SSC Fund. Every performance dollar raised helps SSC provide access to music and arts education for all. By engaging the whole SSC community, Performathon provides necessary resources to enhance and expand educational programming on campus and in the communities we serve. This enables SSC to nurture future generations of artists, from a student’s very first lesson free as they embark on their musical journey.
“What I love about Performathon is the camaraderie and energy it generates on campus and in the community,” said SSC President Robert Cinnante. “It makes me proud to watch students and faculty supporting each another and coming together as one community.”

Over the three-day span, performances are varied, featuring an array of musical styles that span instruments and voice types, age groups, solo and ensemble repertoire. The current schedule is:
Friday, April 5, 5-9 pm: Open Mic at Barnes & Noble, Derby Street Shops, Hingham
Saturday, April 6, 9 am-5 pm: Duxbury campus, 64 St. George Street
Saturday, April 6, 6-7:30 pm: Adult Open Mic/Cocktail Reception, Hingham campus, One Conservatory Drive
Sunday, April 7, 12 – 6 pm: Hingham campus, One Conservatory Drive, Hingham
Admission to most of Performathon 2024 is free, with donations welcome. The Saturday Adult Open Mic & Cocktail Reception in Hingham is a special ticketed event, with limited availability.
