Ride the mechanical shark at Hingham Education Foundation Fundraiser

May 3, 2023 Submitted by Ally Donnelly

Spring is in the air. Hingham is awash in blossoming green trees, chirping birds and, ahhh, the creak of mechanical sharks. Sharks?

Yes! The Hingham Education Foundation’s fundraiser Friday night is Adult Spring Break. The Paragon in Hull is being transformed into madcap yesteryear (or the 80s and 90s). think MTV, Cancun, Pauly Shore and Downtown Julie Brown. After a stressful stretch, we’ll celebrate and let loose with a DJ dance party, glow sticks, yard cups and, yes, rides on a mechanical shark (pics please)!

The fundraiser supports the non-profit Hingham Education Foundation which is committed to enriching the quality of public education for our public schools. Founded in 1992, HEF has awarded over $2 million to our schools, supporting critical tech initiatives, an innovative social and emotional health curriculum and seed money for award-wining robotics and global citizen programs. Your kids directly benefit from HEF’s efforts and fundraising and we would love your support!

Join HEF leaders Kate Dennis and Anya Reppucci, party co-chairs Emily Dowal and Ally Hart and other board of trustees members Sarah D’Souza, Ally Donnelly, Leah Falconeiri, Caroline Harb, Katie Keenan, Matt LeBretton, Sue McDonald, Jennifer Packard, Aimee Sargent and Christian Stone for a fantastic night!
