Members of the community joined Principal Scheufele, members of the School Committee, state and local elected officials, School Building Committee, Foster fifth graders, MSBA, and school administration in officially opening Foster Elementary School. The project was approved at a special town meeting on November 1, 2022 at an estimated cost of $113,000,000. A representative from the MSBA announced yesterday that the total funding from the state came in at just under $29 million (25.6%). The school began holding classes in January of this year while demolition of the old building and site work continued on the property.
