The Hingham Education Foundation will host its annual Spring Social fundraiser on Saturday, April 11, at the Sons of Italy in Hingham.

This year’s theme is “College Throwback,”  and guests can expect to relive their campus days with college vibes, live music and plenty of school spirit. Attendees can dance to the band Vertical Rule while sipping cocktails and enjoying treats generously donated by Knead Bakery. Guests are encouraged to dress casually and show off college swag or apparel representing their alma mater.

The evening will also feature a robust silent auction with a variety of donated items, including sports tickets, rounds of golf, gift cards, and luxury experiences.

The Hingham Education Foundation (HEF) is a non-profit organization of parents dedicated to supporting Hingham Public Schools. This year, the Foundation is helping support the implementation of the Bridges Math curriculum in the district’s elementary schools. The program emphasizes hands-on learning using whiteboards, manipulatives, and collaborative group work, replacing time previously spent on screens.

In addition to curriculum support, HEF is currently accepting grant applications from Hingham teachers for innovative classroom projects and experiences. The organization also awards the Marian Hamrock Memorial Scholarship each year to a Hingham High School senior with a strong academic record who plans to study education in college.

You can visit HEF’s website, HinghamEducation.org, to purchase tickets and learn more about the Hingham Education Foundation and the initiatives listed above.
