Gina and William LaRossa, owners of LaRossa Shoe and LOUIE in Weymouth & Henry’s Shoe Repair in downtown Hingham, have transformed Henry’s into a beautiful new space that now includes an exclusive men’s shop.
The LaRossas, longtime Hingham residents, have owned Henry’s at 104 North St. for 15 years. The original “Henry” was Henry Disano, who opened the shop in 1957. He was well loved in town and known for his craftsmanship.
Henry’s and the services it is known for remain, with the addition of LOUIE for Him sharing the space. This fine specialty men’s shop features carefully curated brands of classic men’s clothing and features Alden shoes made in Massachusetts, along with men’s sportswear, outerwear, and accessories.
The original LOUIE shop — featuring both men’s and women’s fine clothing — is located in the LaRossa Building in Columbian Square in South Weymouth. LOUIE shares the building there with LaRossa Shoe, which has operated continuously in the Boston area for 102 years.
The focus of LOUIE for Him in downtown Hingham is to offer global brands close to home in a comfortable, relaxed setting.
Collections from Italy — including Herno, Maurizio Baldassari, Lardini, and Ring Jacket suits and blazers from Japan are currently featured.
“We will also stock elegant 100 Hands dress shirts and ties from Saville Row and Anderson belts,” Gina LaRossa said.
Barbour fall ’25 from the United Kingdom will be arriving in the next few weeks, along with their famous wind- and water-proof waxed jackets suitable for both British and New England’s sometimes harsh weather.
“These iconic jackets can be re-waxed and brought back to life,” according to LaRossa. “They are often passed down from father to son and treated like a family heirloom.”

‘Luxurious materials, beautifully tailored’
“The clothing we carry is classic sportswear made from luxurious materials and beautifully tailored, with great attention to detail,” LaRossa said. “We have something for everyone — from men who travel for business to clothes for special events and weddings and we offer personal shopping. “You don’t need a lot of clothing and accessories, just the right ones for a stylish and effortless wardrobe.”
Situated in Hingham Square, LOUIE for Him offers unique and convenient shopping. “Many people don’t have the time or energy to shop in Boston, and our downtown has so much to offer in shopping and convenience in our specialty mix of stores,” she said.

‘We repair all things leather’
Henry’s services focus on repairing and fully restoring all things leather — from footwear & purses to luggage. LaRossa Shoe/Henry’s receive shoes and other leather items from all over the world because of their five-star reputation.
“We appreciate all things leather and enjoy bringing them back to life,” LaRossa said. “We specialize in the care of designer footwear and purses, ensuring their longest wearability. People become very sentimental about their favorite footwear or personal items and are very pleased when we restore and add new life to them.”
To operate a business of this kind in this day and age is keeping a lost art alive. “Not many businesses like ours still exist,” she said.
The LaRossas hope the community will enjoy the addition and convenience of LOUIE for Him “as it brings global brand shopping close to home and that they will continue to entrust Henry’s with all of their well-loved leather repairs. Please shop local and support all of our downtown neighbors.”
