This Saturday, July 26, with summer in full swing, Hingham Farmers Market is celebrating “Holiday in July”. Tents and tables will be decorated and there will be a special recipe from Hale Bone Broth as well as deals from various vendors to bring festivities to your visit.
Stop by Vitamin Sea Brewing. They will provide you with “cans to go” of their well-crafted brews and hard seltzer… taste and carry some away for you or your guests. Captain Marden’s Seafood has ready to cook seafood meals with shrimp, oyster and scallops. Their wonderful lobster rolls will sell out early! Jordan Brothers has ”straight from the ocean” mussels, scallops, oyster, clams, halibut and salmon. Pain D’Avignon, Kneady Mama or Steel and Rye will be at HFM offering homemade bread and other delights. Visit Auntie’s Cake Stand for gluten free goodies. Lindsay Local has delicious cookies and zucchini or banana breads. Plus, Farmhouse Baking has fancy macarons, whoopie pies, & chocolate truffles. Farmhouse Baking also has shepherd’s pie and lasagna. HFM knows you do not want to cook in this heat.
As always, the freshest of vegetables at the peak of the season will be available at Freitas Farm, Aeonian Farm, Teal Farm and Stargazer Hollow. Check out fresh honey from New World Apiary and homegrown mushrooms from McGuire’s Mushrooms. The summer delight of local blueberries will be at HFM along with the sweetest corn and ripe tomatoes. For the finishing touch, flower bouquets by Flower Moon Farm will complement the perfect holiday table.
Get yourself, your family or a friend a present from Pocasset Naturals. Stephanie, owner of Pocasset Naturals, has lip balms, soaps, and body scrubs to help everyone through hot summer days. 1012 Candle Co. will display their wonderful candles and they also offer a “self-care scented experience” that you can schedule with friends. Salty Fern brings wreaths and coastal decor out of jute, and boat and lobster rope while Lobster Mats makes just that, doormats made out of locally upcycled lobster rope from locally sourced lobsterman. Cove Lane Pottery has many bowls, including a unique bowl, called the berry bowl. Their hearty mugs and gorgeous platters will help you get a head start on your shopping list.
“We have over 35 vendors at Hingham Farmers Market,” said Bev Vernon, President. “HFM is trying something new. I hope our market-goers get in the holiday spirit without the stress that can come with the December celebration. All our vendors are ready to share the “Holiday in July” spirit on July 26, 9 AM to 1 PM.” Mrs. Vernon wishes she could include all the vendors here. She went on to mention the plans for a future event. “Put August 9 on your calendar to come to HFM for a raffle, scavenger hunt and photo booth celebrating Farmers Market week. HFM welcomes market-goers to 95 Station Street every Saturday until November 22.” She recommends that if a person is interested in the vendor list each week, please sign up for the newsletter on www.hinghamfarmersmarket.org or follow HFM on social media.
