Superintendent of Schools Katie Roberts recently presented the school committee with “summative artifacts” (evidence of her work toward meeting performance expectations) as part of this year’s superintendent evaluation process.

These could include reports, data, and communications “that help show how the superintendent has worked toward the performance goals that were set at the beginning of the year,” Committee Chair Jen Benham told the Hingham Anchor in response to an email inquiry.

The artifacts provide “concrete, evidence-based support for the evaluation and help ensure the process is fair and objective,” she explained.

Committee members will complete their individual evaluation forms and submit them to Benham by July 9.

She and Vice Chair Michelle Ayer will compile a composite write-up of the committee’s evaluations by July 16. The formal evaluation will take place during the school committee’s in-person meeting on July 21.

During the Aug. 18 school committee meeting, the committee and Roberts will talk about goals for the coming school year.
