As part of the ongoing concert series presented by the Hingham Public Library in collaboration with the Boston Classical Guitar Society, The Hampton Trio will perform on Sunday, April 30, at 3 p.m. in the Library’s Whiton Room. No registration is required for this live event.
The Hampton Trio performs original music and arrangements for ensemble of mandolin, mandola, and classical guitar. The trio consists of Beverly Davis, classical guitar; Mark Davis, mandolin; Robert Margo, mandola.
Inspired by the groundbreaking work of groups such as Trio Nuovo (Japan) and Trio Chamorro (Spain), the Hampton Trio’s goal is to popularize and add to the existing repertoire for this instrumentation. In addition to their trio repertoire of arrangements and original works from the baroque to modern eras, the group’s programs may include classical guitar duos by Mark and Beverly Davis, and mandolin solos by Robert Margo.
