The Hingham Historical Society recently kicked off the Holiday season with a festive Holiday Tea in the ballroom of the Hingham Heritage Museum. Beside the grand Christmas Tree, guests were served a beautiful classic tea service accompanied by savory tea sandwiches and sweet treats. Guest speaker Ken Turino from Historic New England presented a fascinating lecture on the evolution of modern American Christmas traditions from the use of greens in decorating to gift giving. A merry afternoon was had by all connecting with friends and neighbors.
