Hingham Arts Alliance Unveils New Logo Celebrating the Arts as the Heart of the Community and Announces Event with Harvard Krokodiloes

April 7th, 2026 By The Hingham Arts Alliance

The Hingham Arts Alliance has unveiled a new logo and tagline, “Art is the Heart of Hingham,” that reflects and emphasizes the vital role the arts play in making our town vibrant, connected, and alive.

Our new logo was created and donated by local artist and graphic designer, Lisa Corrado. The  logo features a ship’s wheel—an iconic symbol of Hingham’s maritime heritage—surrounding a central heart. Within the wheel, the design incorporates imagery representing diverse artistic disciplines.

The heart imagery and tagline “Art is the Heart of Hingham” reflects HAA’s belief that the arts are more than creative expression—they are essential to community wellbeing. Like a beating heart, the arts energize the town by fostering creativity, building connections across differences, and enriching the lives of residents of all ages.

“Access to the arts supports children’s development and learning, creates opportunities for meaningful engagement for seniors, and provides shared cultural experiences that bring neighbors together,” said Gina Jamieson, HAA board member.

Since its founding in 2023, HAA has supported arts initiatives across Hingham, ranging from community events like the Hingham Arts Walk to arts performances and workshops in the Hingham schools. “The arts are a powerful force for connection, bringing people together in ways that strengthen our entire community,” said HAA co-founder Yvette Kanter. “We are grateful to Lisa Corrado for so masterfully capturing the message and mission of HAA in our new logo.”

The new visual identity will appear across the organization’s website, communications, and community programming as HAA continues its work supporting and advocating for the arts throughout Hingham.

HAA will host the Harvard Krokodiloes, the university’s oldest a capella group, at the Ames Chapel in Hingham Cemetery on Sunday, April, 26, from 4-6 p.m. for an afternoon of connection and song in support of the arts in our community. Wine, beer, and light fare will be served, and tickets can be purchased on the HAA website (and at the following link: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/hinghamartsalliance/2076520).

Event tickets and information about HAA and upcoming initiatives can be found at the organization’s website, hinghamartsalliance.org.
