Learn about the invasive plants that threaten many of our most beloved birds and butterflies and watch—or try your hand– at removing them in the field. At this workshop, we’ll discuss the invasive plants that are common in Hingham, and which ones pose the greatest threat to wildlife and the health of your own garden. You’ll learn exactly how to identify and learn about new, non-toxic techniques for removal. We’ll be walking a short distance from the meeting spot in order to see these plants where they grow. If you’d like to help with removal, long sleeves and gloves are recommend.
Lisey Good is the founder of Wild Cohasset, an environmental charity that helps South Shore wildlife by keeping wild spaces biodiverse.
